The Washington Oral Health Foundation (WOHF) and UW dental students participated in two community health fairs this month!
Niecole Coder, a dental student, volunteered at the 1st Celebrando a Nuestra Gente/Celebrating Our People Latino Festival in Lynnwood on June 6th. She said, “The health fair was a lot of fun. We were able to educate a lot of the lower income families on oral health and healthy eating”. WOHF provided Niecole with hygiene kits to pass out to those who stopped by the booth.
Dental students, Rebecca Lui, Kristie Francisco, Sarah McDonald, and Dr. John Fitzgerald volunteered at the St. James Cathedral’s Annual Health and Environment Fair on June 14th. Volunteers gave out over 150 hygiene kits at the event and were a huge success.
